About Long Beach Dumpster Rental Group
A local, family-run hauling company built on one promise: honest flat pricing and dumpsters that show up when we say they will.
Founder Terence McClay spent the better part of a decade behind the wheel of roll-off trucks for other companies around the Greater Long Beach area. He liked the work — there's something satisfying about pulling up to a chaotic job site and leaving it clean — but he didn't like what he kept seeing on customers' invoices. A quoted price would somehow grow by pickup day. Fuel surcharges. Vague "environmental fees." Overage charges nobody explained up front.
In 2016, Terence decided to do it his own way. He bought a single truck, parked it on Redondo Ave and started Long Beach Dumpster Rental Group with a simple rule taped to the dash: tell people the real price, then beat the delivery time you promised.
That approach caught on quickly. Word spread from one Long Beach neighborhood to the next: the crew that answers the phone, quotes a flat number, and actually shows up. Homeowners tackling garage cleanouts told their contractors. Contractors told their clients. Before long the single truck became a small fleet serving Long Beach and nearby towns like Lakewood, Signal Hill and Seal Beach.
Today Long Beach Dumpster Rental Group runs out of a yard on Redondo Ave near Willow Street, minutes from the 405 and 710 — so we can get from the beach neighborhoods to the north end of town fast. We've cleared Belmont Shore remodels, Downtown apartment turnovers, Wrigley bungalow cleanouts and Signal Hill hillside projects, and we treat every one like it's on our own block.
What hasn't changed
We're still local, still family-run, and still answering our own phone. When you call (562) 471-7508, you're not routed to a national dispatch center three states away — you're talking to someone who knows which Long Beach streets are tight, which blocks need a right-of-way permit, and what size dumpster your project really needs.
We believe the smallest container that fits the job is the right one, even when a bigger one would pad our invoice. We believe your driveway should look exactly the way it did before we arrived. And we believe "flat rate" should mean flat — delivery, pickup, disposal and a fair weight allowance, all in one honest number.
